Super ATV Honda Disc Brake Conversion
« on: February 10, 2012, 02:25:04 PM »
I will say this is so far one of the best Mods I have done on the Kids ATV's . We were always having trouble out of the drum brakes and the new Kit seems to be well made and is very easy to install once you figure the first side out. The instructions were abit vag. But once I got the first side done it went about 30min a wheel after that. It is also about Half the Price of High lifters Kit . Total Kit from Super Atv cost me 229.00.

This is the Old Drum Assy. on the Honda 650 Rincon

Remove all the old Drum Assy. and Hub From Bike

Install New Mounting Bracket and Also Not Show Nock the Old Wheel Studs out of the Hub which I did with Just a Hammer .

Install Disc and Spacers onto Hub using Provided Wheel Studs and Install Assy. Back onto the Bike
I have One more Pic But it will Not let ME resize  of the Caliper Installed on the Disc but It just Mounts to the Bracket on the Third Pic and Install Brake Line which on My Bikes I had to Re-Route Behind the Shock but had Plenty of Slack. Then just Bleed the Brakes and your Ready to Go. Hope this Helps some one and it is a very complete Kit Everything you need is there.

Hell for 230 its geat. Last tme I was at boggs my 300 died going up the hill at the cabins and my brakes didn't work I rolled back and got tossed off the bike in the middle of the hill... wasn't any fun . And its worth 230 not to do that stunt again lol

What is the contact info for you kit you bought

I don't understand why Honda held on to drums for so long, at least when disc pads wear out you get metal to metal brakes for a min.

I have done 2 radiator Kits from Wild Boar and on Both the Hondas I had to By New U-Bolts and stuff to mount them Jon said the people that packed the HArd ware messed up but I didnt want to wait and that stuff was Cheap. As Far as Lift I installed the High Lifter Kit on one of the Hondas Last Time Home with RedNeck Mudslingers Help and I bought a Highlifter Spring compressor Tool if any one Needs it But I will tell you and Carl can Witness that thing will get you in a heart beat if you aint careful on the small springs for a Honda. I think on Bigger springs it would be alot safer.
