Power Commander III Woes
« on: July 22, 2011, 09:20:48 PM »
OK so we downloaded a map that should almost be a perfect match for my setup, we send the map to the PCIII on my atv, it says sent successfully, yet the bike won't start. We even used a stock setting map and a zero map, which they both say sent successfully, but bike still won't start. It had a map for the 840 big bore to begin with. What am I doing wrong?

From what I have read and what people are telling me is this. That we have done everything correct. I need to try my PCIII on your bike mudskipper to see if it works, if not then it means that sumbitch sold me a junk PCIII and I have to file a dispute through Paypal.

Ok thank god it was in fact something simple as I had hoped it would be. It was not grounded good enough. Got a direct ground and it starts not. Load off my mind.

Not really. PCIII is just to get air/fuel mixture back to where it needs to be. Keeps it from running lean.

I knew that much, just wondering if you could tell a deference.  Leaner is faster, that's why race engines have great power right before they blow.

No real power gain. I just wanted to keep my engine in tact.
