Bad lands 3000 lbs winch
« on: March 31, 2012, 05:37:43 AM »
So my warn 2.5ci on my grizzly burnt out, and it would cost $170 to fix.  Well I took myself to harbor freight with a 20% off coupon and got the badlands winch for $111, and spent $19 on the 2 year full replacement plan.  It looks like a warn winch, I even used all my existing wiring and switches.  Once I get it out in the mud I will let you guys know how it works.

Those coupons are In the back of most auto magazines.  All of the 4X4 mags have them.

I love mine, especially for the price. It is a littlr noisy, but if it lasts the two years, I think it will have paid for its self ;)

So the winch worked great this weekend with a very fast line speed, Pulled out myself with a broken front CV, 2 hondas, and a certain brute we all know that was stuck in peanut butter.  The winch never even flinched, and every time I used it was because people where really stuck.  It seems to be well worth the $111 I paid for it!
